Functional training: exercises for the whole body

To give you an insight into functional training, in this blog post I would like to introduce you to various exercises that you can use to train and strengthen your whole body.

1. forearm support

This exercise is about maintaining body tension. You tense your upper body, abdomen, back, buttocks and legs during the exercise and this helps you achieve healthy body stability.

  • Kneel on the floor and rest your forearms on the floor. The elbows should be directly under your shoulders.
  • Now lift your body upwards
  • Tighten your abdomen and buttocks and make sure your body forms a straight line. Make sure that you do not make a hollow back.
  • Hold the position for a few seconds and then pause, lowering your knees back to the floor.

2. push-up

With the help of push-ups you strengthen your arms, chest and abdominal muscles.

  • First get into the push-up position.
  • Turn your hands slightly inwards so that your elbows point outwards.
  • Now slowly lower your body and raise it again. The arms and elbows should be as close to your body as possible.

3. squats

When performing squats correctly, you train all the muscles of your body, especially your legs and buttocks.

  • Stand hip-width apart on the floor.
  • Now push your buttocks backwards and bend your knees. Lower your buttocks down until your knees are bent more than 90°.
  • Make sure that your knees do not protrude beyond the tops of your feet
  • Hold the position for a few seconds and then slowly straighten up again.

Do these exercises regularly and strengthen your body effectively. I will be happy to show you more exercises that can help you train your whole body. Start today and strengthen your whole body. I will be happy to help you.
